The Staatskapelle Berlin and its chief conductor Daniel Barenboim very much regret having to cancel the Beethoven Cycle tour to Paris, Athens and Vienna, which was planned for November 6th through 22nd. Despite the enormous efforts of all those involved, it has unfortunately come to light that this tour will not be possible in the current COVID-19 climate, not least due to the complex situation with trips to three countries, each with different travel and quarantine regulations.
The Staatskapelle Berlin says, “We very much hope to be able to catch up on the concerts at the respective locations in the future. At the moment we are doing everything we can to continue to create as much culture as possible for our audience in Berlin.”
With careful implementation of the general safety and health protocol for the Berlin cultural institutions and compliance with the general regulations of the Infection Protection Ordinance, the Staatsoper Unter den Linden takes all possible precautions to protect the health of its visitors.
